Level progress 4

I've lost a lot of time with shadows of dynamic lights "bug". I don't want to call this "a bug" but really it's a shame. Start game, I have shadows. Close game. Start game, I have not shadows. Problem was in forums long time ago http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=33448 and I knew how to see those shadows, but not what activate/deactivate them. Really, it's not a cvar value, and thats why I need to put some time on it. Finally I can use my custom recommended config with Very High values and those shadows on. I think the time has paid off.

  2. Thanks for the update Maldo, much appreciated. I hope you manage to resolve the issues. You say it works on Very High setting, does it not work on Ultra?

  3. ^Obviously works in ultra, but main objective of MaLDoHD 3.0 is that everybody can play at great framerates with some of the eye-candy effects and high framerates.

Mmmmm really nice Maldo.Im chry to remember for a game who use a grass shadows but i cant remember becouse there is no game existing whit a grass shadows.Your mode(game) its gonna be meaby the first game who use that really cool option and i think the futures developments must see that and start use in incoming games.One more time really nice im so impress keep going Jonny Walker :))))

  9. @GalaxyX, what? bug fixes in levels are same on ultra and high. I'm working hard to fix bugs in levels and that's what percentage progress by level means.

    It's other war that I want to fix the problem with those shadows because those shadows has a very little impact in performance and now are on in high and very high. Before was necessary to run game in extreme, close game, open game and then put at very high to play in very high with shadows. This is now fixed.

    I can't priorize some users over others. And my recommended settings in config tool (there is a recommended settings button) use Very High schema. All after shots in blog are in recommended settings. So, I need all eyecandy works ok at those settings.

  11. Don't let others tell you what to do Maldo. I think it's the best to get everything working, especially if it's a setting you can choose from the installer.

    Also I was having these missing shadows on extreme settings and it's a shame EA didn't fix anything after DX11 patch.

    Thumbs up for the new screens! Your improvements are incredible, now Crysis 2 could surpass Crysis 1 (Modded) in terms of visual quality, IMHO!

  12. @StarKiller, the way game sets on/off those shadows is incredible confuse for me since now. It's not logic at all for a graphic feature like this.

  18. The crysis 1 graphic lvl is hard to obtain, i doubt this mod can surpass it , but i think maldo 3.0 can match the lvl of crysis 1.

    Crysis 1 had larger maps and photorealistic vegetation , those two things are the most difficult to make and look real in games at the time they run smooth. Because that crysis 2 have to look better in the world of the city, and concrete , bricks , roads , cars .. etc requires more artistic design and work to look well, is not a copy paste of trees or dirt like crysis 1.

    I think crysis 2 @ MalDO HD 3.0 will be a real crysis like the first one.

  19. What a pain with the shadows, but happy for you, you finally figured it out. Keep up the impeccable work ethic, Maldo. Thanks for trying to fix some of the graphical glitches within Crysis 2 also. That right there is great in and of itself. Looking forward to the mod.

  24. Fantastic work, maldo.

    Some people dont understand the amount of work you have done. its ridiculous the messagens blaming the time frame.

    Go to crymod, the main Crysis/Crytek MOD forum and see that there is nothing close in quality and amount of work even from experience modders.

    The texture packs to Crysis 1 take much more time and dont involve make almost the whole game texture enviroment.
