  4. Very nicely done. I'm pretty sure that my comment will turn into someting like "unbelievable!" once I've actually played your mod.
It's hard to judge by screenshots only, even though it clearly looks like you've done a fantastic job.

  20. Maldo... I don't know if I can call you "genius" or "monster"... Maybe "monstruous genius"...

Really impressive. I am speechless. Seriously, you deserve to be hired as graphist in a video game studio a least to work on PC version of games.

You succeeded to show us the uglyness of Crysis 2 (and probably the uglyness of the future Crysis 3). I hope Crytek is watching you.

A little remark : I don't like rocks un 165nd screenshot. I think this kind of rocks can be improved. It's only my opinion.

  21. Truly an awesome job. I applaud your work now and forever! Can't wait for the 4.0 release and what you have in store for Crysis 3!

  22. Man, i've been following your project since it was born!!! STUNNING!!!! You're really teaching Crytek how to do things in the most beutifull way possible, showing them how lazy they are (the high ressolution pack from crytek compared to yours, its kid play). Really apreciate your dedication on this awesome pack, even not making money with it! I'm sorry about my TERRIBLE english, but a hope you got how I love your effort to make this awesome job for all users around the world for FREE!!! Keep it that way, you're a very talented man!!!! Hugs from Brazil man, love your job!!!!!!!

  23. Absolutely blown-away. Your work is incredible. I don't care what game will be released in the next-generation of consoles.

Crysis 2 with Maldo 4.0 will have the very best graphics for at least next 5 years.

    Cheers, Cryio.

  24. Great work dude

But why do you need so long for 0,1% :o

    ReplyDelete
  25. Haha - the rate it's been going, I expect a beta release in two or three weeks.

  26. Okay... The 99.9% completion number is in reference to the completion of a particular level. MaLDo has explained this many times. So, one level may be 95% completed, another level can be 99% completed, another level maybe 72.4% completed and so on. Understand? So the cumulative average for the entire game may only be 80% completed as a whole. Versus on the per level completion bases as MaLDo informs us. Hopefully, that was explained well enough. Just let the man work. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So what is the average percentage as a total? Roughly hoe long until release?

    ReplyDelete
  28. This is worst than when windows gets stucked at 99% for a while before it finally finishes loading something.

    1. If you are not happy, go away.

Did you count textures in the whole game ?
Thousands, maybe millions. I am not talking about texture files, but about textures in maps. This is not a simple texture replacement. Replacements are made one on one, on any aspect of the game. Besides bugs of Vanilla game are corrected. Moreover, I am wondering how many times Maldo had to redo the entire game.

0.1% is already a huge amount of work !

    2. how can you run in 64 bit games?I only run in 32 bit and restricted in 1gb5 ram

      Delete
    3. If anyone wants to correct me on this, please do so. I had read (sorry, can't find the source), that the crysis2.exe was made LAA (Large Address Aware), meaning that yes, it's a 32-bit executable, but because the LAA flag was set to "On", that executable is able to take advantage of up to 4GB of RAM if necessary. There is no "64-bit" crysis2.exe. If you see a "bin64" folder in your game folder, it's for the Mod SDK.

As an aside, Maldo...Truly blown away with the work you have completed. I played the game twice now in "vanilla" Ultra and it looked damn fine, but playing again with your version 3.0 mod...gosh! Soooo much nicer! I even take time now to view textures super close just to admire the improved details you have implemented. You truly bring out the beauty of the POM and tessellation capabilities. Truly, amazing work!

And to think version 4 will have MORE improvements?!?! *poof*...mind blown!

Have to question if a 1GB RAM vid card will handle all this awesomeness at 1440x900 screen resolution though...we will see.

      Cheers!

  30. As someone with a high end machine, I thank you for putting this out sir. I'm currently running a pair of GTX 680 in SLI with a 2600k OC to 4.6ghz and 16gb of 2133mhz DDR3 memory. I cranked every setting to max on my nvidia surround setup (6016x1200 resolution for bezel correction) and this looks amazing. If you'd like to get in touch with me for more in game screen shots, feel free to. Here's a screen shot from one of the mod levels you included: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=102807985&insideModal=1
