  4. Thanks for unreal work! I look forward to the final version, as well as all in Russia. But there are two moments which I can't hold back:
    - Excessively strong sharpness of the picture.
    - Losses of details in light sites and pale scale on the street.

    1. Hello Hedin, thank you for the comments. About sharpness, you're right. It's not easy to capture and downscale screenshots with the sweetfx lumasharpen activated. In this case I've captured with fraps and lumasharpen is lost in the process, so I reduced screenshots with irfanview using sharpen scale, but the result is not as good as lumasharpen work. Also, when I captured using built-in sweetfx screen capture, my lumasharpen factor is calculated for my own resolution (2880x1800) so when I downscale to 1600x1000 size the effect is diluted.

Can you deep a bit about the losses of light details? Some shots are WIP. The air conditioner machine now has a light right above. Now I have to go down a little the light intensity and activate the shadows of the machine.

    2. In my opinion, on distance shots there is a decrease in contrast (in comparison with real) and it is excessive powerful clarification during the operation of the HDR Filter, light surplus on foliage and in patches of light on some objects and surfaces at artificial lighting in rooms.
Screenshoots on which I noticed it: 3,9,11,25,37,39,71

Sorry for my English, I almost didn't study it... instead of English lessons I drank with my friends)))

    3. Probably excessive brightness of some shined sites partially occurred because of several steps increases sharpness about which you spoke.

    4. Small question not on a subject: how you do Downsampling in game? I have default monitor resolution 2560*1440 and I want to receive smoothing edges having calculated 5120*2880 and reduced it up to the native resolution of the monitor. How to set the increased resolution in game?

  5. Thanks for keeping us updated! I completely understand the want and need for time, and to be at your own pace, as I've been around the modding scene for a while, both as a participant and as a user.

I hit the dreaded map crash everyone got in the beta, but I put of playing the game until you release the final version. I don't think Crysis 3 will negate the desire to use your mod. It might actually increase it, just as the release of Far Cry 3 pushed many new players to go back and try Far Cry 1 and 2, mods ESPECIALLY included.

I'm just glad you're keeping us updated, and moreover, that you're at least doing well enough to post once in a while :) Good luck with anything you are doing!

  8. Amazing as usual, Maldo. I love that you fixed the tessellation errors in the stone walls in Seat of Power. And the extra vehicles and objects really fill out the world and make it seem more like an abandonded New York.

Take your time, we know no one polishes like you. Plus, Crysis 3 will be too expensive for my liking for 6 months at least.

    Salud!

  9. Hi Maldo, your work is amazing, but i don't understand this : "Please, try recommended settings when you play MaLDoHD"

Even with a powerful rig you think we should not set the highest settings ?

    1. Hi Vincent. You MUST use the highest settings if you can play at 60 fps without drops. But a lot of people play at highest settings with framerate drops only because they think they can lose some important IQ using a lower quality. In my mod I put a lot of effort for IQ in recommended settings reducing effects with lower impact in IQ for a normal person. The most visible things into Ultra preset are parallax, tesselation, real time reflections and SSDO, and all of them are into recommended settings too. So, I prefer people starting with recommended settings because they can enjoy smooth experience with great IQ. Then, if they miss some effect they can rise lod, or distance view or set another thing or select ultra settings if a lot of computer horsepower is not used.

But starting at ultra and play with slowdowns is an error with this mod.

    2. ...because maybe you never going to miss effects that are not present in the recommended configuration.

  11. Hello MaLDo, excellent work, take as much time as you need.

Could you let me know what settings you would recommend for the following hardware:
    Core i5-2500K OC'ed to 4.5GHz
GeForce GTX670 (factory overclocked Gigabyte card)
    8GB RAM.
    Windows 7 x64.

I will be targeting 1920x1080 50FPS (50Hz refresh rate - it is easier to sustain stable 50fps, than stable 60fps, and the difference in fluidity is imperceptible for me - I only start seeing the "choppiness" of the framerate below 50-45fps).

  13. Quick Question:

The Mod has been beautiful and flawless right up to the last save in dark Heart. after the flood, my system hangs on a black screen and won't continue the camp. Processor is still buzzing at 25% but memory usage drops off. any ideas?

    1. I had the same problem in the past, but it seems to be a game bug and not MaldoHD related.

      Delete
    2. Actually it is Maldo related. In the changelog for the final 4.0 it was mentioned that this bug is fixed.

Sucks, but I'm willing to wait considering how great the textures are.

    3. I have the same problem even in 4.0, how to fix it?

  14. What do we do about the flood level? It's just hanging at a black screen. Nothing happens.
